Deputy Commerce Minister Napinthorn drives Southern innovation via International Patents
On February 17, 2025, Mr. Napinthorn Srisanpang, Deputy Minister of Commerce, led the Department of Intellectual Property to Songkhla Province to promote innovation-driven entrepreneurs and enhance Thai products through intellectual property. He held discussions with the Science Park at Prince of Songkla University to drive innovations within the network toward commercialization.
In addition, patents and petty patents were granted to universities and entrepreneurs to stimulate innovation development. Strict measures were also introduced to prevent intellectual property infringement, both online and offline. The initiative aims to generate more than 200 million baht in economic value while improving people’s quality of life.
